A magical line-up of top TV stars will be taking part in a charity football match to support national children’s charity Magic Moments, backed by the Spicerhaart estate agency group.
Those set to pitch their football skills against each other include Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson, EastEnders’ actors Jake Wood, Danny Boy Hatchard, singer Lee Ryan from Blue as well as reality TV stars Calum Best, James Argent and Dan Osborne, among many other celebrities subject to work commitments.
It has also been announced that the Queen of the Jungle, I'm A Celebrity 2019 winner Jacqueline Jossa, will appear at the match at Ashton Gate Stadium, the home of Bristol City FC and Bristol Bears on Sunday, May 17th 2020.
The game will kick off at 3pm, with turnstiles opening at 1.30pm.
Many of the stars also supported the charity earlier this year at a celebrity football match, captained by Shane Ward and Danny Dyer at Southend United, which raised almost £10,000 for Magic Moments.
Jonathan Martin, Chairman of the Trustees for Magic Moments, said: “We’re so excited that the stars have agreed to support us again, this time with Bristol City’s head coach Lee Johnson taking part.
“Their involvement really does make all the difference as it enables us to take children from 13 hospices across the UK every year, as well as families who have suffered a bereavement, to Disneyland Paris.
“This year, we organised three trips and the smiles on the faces of those children, most of who have life-limiting illnesses, and their families, really does say it all.
“We are extremely grateful to all those taking part and to Sellebrity Soccer, which organises the event, as well as our sponsors. In 2019, we took a total of 278 people to Disneyland - and thousands more in the 19 years since Magic Moments was launched.
“The more money we raise means we can create treasured memories for even more families.”
Kevin Cooper, co-founder of Sellebrity Soccer, said: “I am honoured to be supporting Magic Moments again to raise significant funds for the children they kindly support.”
